You麓re right about changing settings for color in word but what you do in Word won麓t be used in other programs outside office suite, so you won麓t change internet or google way of working. How do you change the automatic color on microsoft word?

If you make the lime green color default it might be green for all text, but there is a selection in there, I think, that says this doc only or something like that.

I am not sure why your font color doesn't change. Normally, all you have to do is highlight text and select the font color for it.
