Weird Font change in Windows?

So my fonts suddenly changed everywhere. By that, I mean the text looks different in explorer, firefox, Word, everywhere. In Word, it's obvious that the actual font type hasn't changed (still Times New Roman) but all the letters look different, kind of smaller and sharper. I just installed Avi2dvd and it wanted me to install a lot of extra codec-type things. So that's the only source I can think of for this change. Here is a screenshot of some text from my screen. Hopefully you can see how it looks different.
