Goto Messenger--%26gt;Preferences--%26gt;Appearances--%26gt;?font and color.
There is another option on the same screen which will allow you to setup your Messenger contacts fonts..How to change font color of my name or ID in yahoo messenger??
You can either change it in your preferences under appearance, so you dont have to change it every time. Or in your chat box click on the T with the color pallet and change it that way. :)
The grey is the default color of the opposite person in our Yahoo! Messenger chat window and cannot be changed
