How to change a font into a true type font?

I have downloaded a font but it isn't Truetype font so i can't use ir. I put the .ttf after it but that didn't help. Please someone explain to me how to do this...thank youHow to change a font into a true type font?

If you are in control of the source document you can change the font selection to a truetype font. You can't actually grab a font file and change it. While technically you could do line tracing and generate a truetype font it wouldn't have the same level of clarity that we expect of a truetype font. It would just be a representation of the bit font it was based on. A truetype font respresents the font as a drawing of a series of lines. Standard font files are little pixel bitmaps.
