How to change the type and font size in Word from Times New Roman 12 (the present default) to Verdana 11?

I wish to change the type and font size in Word from Times New Roman 12 (the present default) to Verdana 11 or any other type or font size. Kindly suggest how it can be done.How to change the type and font size in Word from Times New Roman 12 (the present default) to Verdana 11?
just open microsoft word, steps to follow,

1. start

2. all programs

3. microsoft word

4. in the menu bar, Right click and see whether formatting option have been ticked, if not do that, just by a single click...

Go to the format option on the toolbar and choose a different font and size. It's that simple.
Look at the top of the window and there should be something like format or a litte screen that says what size font or style it using.Just click it and it pops open but that is for changing the font.
Open Word, and on the top bar, click on Format. The first choice is Font. You can choose any one of the many that are offered, so if you want Verdana, find that and click on it to select it. Then on the right you will see font size. You can go up or down in font size, depending on your needs. If you want this to become the default font, on the bottom left will be the word Default. Click on that, and the new font and size will be the default instead of Times New Roman.



If you just want Verdana for a particular document but not as the default, you must select it before you start your document. Otherwise, it will change the font from that point forward in your document.
